As part of its commitment to providing quality eye care services to underserved communities, Shri Aurobindo Medical Research Centre (SAMRC), Raipur conducted free cataract surgeries for 18 rural patients identified through its community eye screening camps.
The beneficiaries included 13 patients from Bagbahara and 5 patients from Bhurkoni in Mahasamund district. After thorough eye examinations during the free screening camps, the patients were referred to the hospital, where they underwent successful cataract surgeries under the supervision of experienced ophthalmologists using advanced surgical techniques and modern medical facilities.
Following the surgeries, all patients received comprehensive post-operative care, including health check-ups, medications, and expert medical guidance to ensure a smooth recovery.
To make the treatment completely accessible, the hospital also provided free accommodation, meals, medicines, and post-operative care, ensuring that patients and their attendants received safe, comfortable, and compassionate healthcare throughout their stay.
