A Free Eye Check-up Camp was organized by Sri Aurobindo Netralaya, Raipur in Damapur Village Panchayat, Pandariya District, where 300 people underwent comprehensive eye examinations.
During the camp, 122 needy individuals were identified for free spectacles, while 103 cataract patients were diagnosed and enrolled for further treatment. In the first phase, 21 patients have already undergone successful cataract surgery, and treatment for the remaining patients will continue in a phased manner.
The camp also helped identify 30 patients with squint (strabismus), and individuals suffering from other eye-related conditions received expert medical consultation and guidance.
This initiative played an important role in bringing quality eye care services to rural communities. The camp was successfully conducted with the support of Bahadur Khan (Sarpanch Representative, Damapur Village Panchayat), Ashwini Yadav (Janpad Panchayat Representative), local public representatives, and villagers.
Sri Aurobindo Netralaya, Raipur reaffirmed its commitment to improving eye health in rural and remote areas and stated that such community outreach programs will continue in the future to ensure accessible and quality eye care for all.
